Pinoy Dream Academy’s Yeng Constantino and Eman Abatayo opened the show with a bang with their rendition of Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby’s "Sikat Ang Pinoy". A white stretch limo then brought to the gates of the PBB Eviction Hall hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Bianca Gonzales and Toni Gonzaga who officially opened this edition. Toni immediately squealed on the new rules in the game, there will be two-in-one housemates, the head of household, the season long task, celebrity opening acts plus special celebrity houseguest. Toni also revealed that like the previous edition, our celebrities have charity partners which will benefit from their winnings. The 4th celebrity Big Placer and his/her chosen charity will each win P200,000 while the 3rd Big Placer and partner charity will receive P300,000 each. The 2nd Big Placer and his/her charity will both win 500,000 and this edition’s Big Winner and chosen charity will each rake in a whooping P1,000,000. The Celebrity Big Winner will also receive a Chateau Valenzuela condominium unit, a Sony Bravia and a business franchise from Goodah.

First inside the Big Brother house was half-german, ¼ African-American and ¼ Filipino model-actor Will Devaughn. Although already a famous commercial and print model, life for Will was not always an easy one. He was raised by his mother single handedly but their relationship changed when she remarried. His step dad was never easy to get along with after he got hooked on alcohol. But Will admits there’s no bad blood between him and his step father. His love life took him on a plane to the Philippines but his heart ended up getting broken, not once, but twice by the same girl. This "True Lover" will find out if he can feel real love inside the house. His chosen charity is Brave Kids Foundation.

Second on the list is the "Princess of Charm" Megan Young. Known as Shane, her sweet persona on Kokey, Megan is actually not used to doing chores around the house. Her mom often scolds her for not tidying up her room. But even though she gets an earful from time to time, her family is pretty tight and it was a big issue of hers when she signed up as a housemate. "I prepared by sleeping by myself. Sobrang sanay kasi ako dahil I share the room with my sister," she shared to hosts Toni and Mariel. Megan was already hyper but she became more giddy when she learned that her crush will also be entering the house. Hmm…who can this guy be?

Bantay Bata will surely be thanking our third housemate Riza Santos if she wins. The reigning Ms. Earth-Canada, the "Desirable Diva" is a certified NBSB or No Boyfriend Since Birth girl. Despite living in Canada, she was only allowed to date at the age of 18. But Riza is not only a beauty, she’s a toughie as well. Her grandparents, both veterans of World War 2, inspired her to join the military and is part of the Canadian Cam Forces.

Pride of Davao Ruben Gonzaga will be sharing his winnings in turn with the Co Su Gian Home for the Aged. Popular in the South for his Budotz Dance, Ruben is not shy to admit that he has lived in poverty for many years. The "Komedyanteng Promdi" thanks his humble beginnings for this is where he got his inspiration for laughter. He is also a true believer in love and has even walked miles literally and figuratively for his wife. Now, all Ruben wants is to have a house of his own and a good future for his children.

Housemate no.5 looks like a very happy-go-lucky person but in truth has suffered a lot at a young age. Born an illegitimate child, Victor Basa never got to see his dad at his death bed or at his burial. Their family’s house were taken from them by the bank for failing to pay taxes. He even experienced not having electricity at his home for a year. However, the "Lonely Dreamboy" took everything in stride and pursued his dreams. Aside from acting and modeling, he currently owns 3 guitars, records and composes his own songs. Victor will be supporting Ahon Sa Kalye Ministries Inc., a charity institution that helps out street kids.

80s icon, Yayo Aguila is the 6th Housemate to enter Kuya’s abode. Yayo turned her back on showbusiness at the age of 16 in exchange for love. She and husband actor William Martinez left for the US to try their luck in the land of milk and honey but eventually came back to the Philippines. Here Yayo endured the most trying times of her life – from her husband’s philandering ways, his depression and drug addiction. Sometimes the "Mom in Distress" wants to give up but knows that she has to be strong for her family. Her advice to people in her situation? "Just do whatever you need to do. And with a lot of prayers lahat possible." Yayo’s chosen institution is the Bagets Foundation.

Baron Geisler admits he’s a total ‘pasaway’ but hopes he can change all that upon his journey inside Big Brother’s house. A child star who grew up right before our very eyes, Baron is not ashamed to tell everyone that he has a drinking problem. Trials came into his life one after the other – his father died, his house was burned down twice and he lost the love of his life to someone else. "I blew up my career," Baron confessed and now wants a brand new lease on life. Slow but surely he knows he’s on his way to recovery. KIDS Foundation will be Baron’s beneficiary if ever he wins.

Just when everyone thought the elusive Banker of KDOND will be playing as Kuya’s housemate, he lets his neighbor borrow one of his 26K girls, Marylaine Viernes. 26K’s "Brainy Babe" wants to help her amputee dad and family by becoming this edition’s Big Winner. A scholar at the De La Salle University, Marylaine also writes a column for the school’s official newspaper while doing 26K duties. Love maybe a bit lost to Marylaine for now but she hopes to find her single, matangkad at gwapo boyfriend soon. Marylaine is the A4Y Foundation spokesperson and this will be her beneficiary when she wins.

However, Kuya had his own tricks up his sleeves as he let the first 8 housemates remove their blindfolds and see each other for the first time. He then instructs Marylaine to pick an assistant and go to the confession room. Together with Baron, she discovers a huge suitcase inside the confession room and was told to open it in the living room. Here, the other HMs get the shock of their lives as housemate no. 9, Jen Da Silva suddenly popped out and hugged Marylaine. Dubbed as a total war freak, the former 26K girl is not afraid to speak her mind and this is what often gets her into trouble. Not one to back down, Jen has developed this tough exterior being the bread winner of her family at the age of 9. Unknown to the HMs, Jen and Marylaine is the first pair of two-in-one housemates in this edition. A two-in-one housemate will be playing together as if they were one person, if one gets nominated, the other gets on the nomination block too.

Housemate no. 10 is a surprise HM like Jen. Unknown to Baron, his big brother Donnie will be entering the house too, and will be playing the same game as him. Taekwondo champ and member of the Philippine Team, Donnie has made the country proud for the numerous medals he has won in various competitions around the globe. He and Baron were pretty tight as children so instead of leaving for the US with his son, he opted to stick it out with his brother here some more. The "Good Brother" however had a special task from Big Brother even before he entered the house. Will this be advantageous for the siblings?

Four more housemates are set to be revealed within the week. Who can the "Tisoy Model-Actor", "Extreme Sports Lover", "Musikerong Dad" and "Controversial Beauty Queen" be?
