If the Big Four survived 84 days with Big Brother, it's not a surprise if they find a couple of hours sitting down with local showbiz reporters a piece of cake. Ruben, Riza, Gaby, and Will shared how PBB changed their lives not just as celebrities but as persons. As housemates, they all indeed learned the art of dealing with other people and facing difficult situations. Each of them recalled the "Gising Na Gising" weekly task that Kuya gave them inside the house and said that having few hours of sleep can truly make a real person out of anyone. The four agreed on how memorable the task was, and for the things they have learned out of all the challenges, the four will be eternally grateful.
The man of the hour, Ruben Gonzaga, first expressed his deep thanks to all the fans who supported him, making him this season's Big Winner and the first male housemate to bag the title. The Komedyanteng Promdi said that he owe much of his success to the people of Davao who have followed his career back when he was still a local celebrity in the said province. Although now that so many opportunities here in the city have opened for him because of PBB, Ruben still knows his priorities. He plans to move his wife, Jessel, their two kids, and two other relatives to the house in Valenzuela which he won from PBB. Ruben prays that his victory in PBB will pave the way for more projects in showbiz particularly inclined to comedy and drama. But while trying to make waves in the industry, Ruben remains open to workshops so he can hone his acting and hosting skills. Second Big Placer Riza Santos also plans to undergo more workshops, specifically Tagalog lessons so she can be equipped with the right tools as she ventures into singing, hosting, and a little bit of acting. The Fil-Canadian beauty is about to make her first movie appearance in the upcoming Robin Padilla-Ai Ai Delas Alas on-screen project. But before going full blast on showbiz, Riza first clarified some issues that sprang from her stay inside the famous yellow house. The former Ms. Earth-Canada cleared that she and Will are not dating, although she is excited to get to know the hunk model now that they are both outside the house. She also disproved the rumours linking her to Mark Bautista and Polo Ravales, saying the two are nothing but nice acquaintances. But the issue that Riza finds so preposterous is the one claiming that she and her family are taking legal action against celebrity houseguest Mariel Rodriguez because of the harsh words that the latter apparently said against Riza during PBB. Apparently, Riza and Mariel had a lukewarm relationship inside the house, but Riza said that she and the PBB host are now okay, and as a matter of fact, Riza just came from her live appearance in Wowowee where she co-hosted alongside Mariel. The equally much-talked about girl of the press conference was Third Big Placer Gaby Dela Merced. Although not really a showbiz gal, the Racing Goddess had been linked to movie hunks Derek Ramsay, Diether Ocampo, and Onemig Bondoc. However, Gaby was quick to say that the three were just close friends of hers. As of the moment, instead of getting entangled into intrigues, Gaby would rather come up with a concrete plan now that she had received a warm welcome by legions of showbiz fans. She would still want to pursue some hosting jobs given the opportunity, but Gaby remains reluctant about getting into acting because, according to her, she doesn't see herself as an actress. Gaby also plans of finding a balance between showbiz and car racing, the sport where her true passion lies. She hopes that as she does more projects she would be able to gather support so she can pursue her dreams of competing in international races. But apparently, Gaby was not the only one being linked to other names. Fourth Big Placer Will Devaughn politely dismissed the gossips involving him with hotbabes Gwen Garci and Maui Taylor. Furthermore, the Fil-German hunk model just laughed at the rumored sex video of him with Baywalk Bodies hottie Palmolive Palma, but Will would rather move on from his ancient involvement with Palmolive and focus more on what's in store for him in showbiz right after PBB. Will hopes that after his movie debut in Desperadas he would get more offers to appear in movies and also on TV, commercials, and other product endorsements. As for his loveteam with Riza, Will is very much open to a WiZa tandem on-screen, but he clarified that he and the Riza are nothing but close friends, well at the moment at least. Thus begins a new chapter in the lives of our Celebrity Big Four. Now, the true test of character lies in the outside world where no Big Brother will be there to guide them. Will, Gaby, Riza, and Ruben all believed that being true to oneself, the value of "pagpapakatotoo" that PBB had always espoused, is the first step into being accepted and loved by the people especially in showbiz. May we all remain inspired by these four who were chosen by the public to represent what it means to be a Filipino. Till the next batch of housemates, sa muling pagbubukas ng bahay ni Kuya! |
